I’m not familiar enough with Crowbar to compare Pulchra Morte to them like others have, but at times it sounds like Peter from Hypocrisy on vocals. Still, this is a decent change to have almost all slow- to mid-paced death, rather than thrash metal speed, along with doom elements (female singer, clean guitar, cello, etc.). I just can’t figure out if “The Serpent’s Choir” or “Knife of the Will” is my favorite track though but it’s all good!
Smoke swirls around the dusty pillars of the catacomb in this fantastic work. Decaying flowers cast shadows in the flickering candlelight. Chords and single notes bubble up and swell, blooming with resonance in a way that reminds me of Crowbar in the best fashion.
Favorite track: Prince Among Shadows.
i love knife of the will and ex rosa ceremonia but to me the serpents choir is the best so far it has me and other people who are on backing vocals the archer and the noose is great also buy this now
Favorite track: The Serpent's Choir.

dISEMBOWELMENT-level crushing murk and atmosphere, but with a unique sense of melody and movement. The production absolutely smokes. And can we talk about these guitar solos?!? Every lead is expressive and telling you a fucking story - sounds like the byproduct of intense devotion to Andy LaRoque and Trey Azagthoth (especially on 'Subaqueous Funeral'). This record is incredibly special. Carl
